TEXT: PSALM 13:1–6

Key Verse

"I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me."

— Psalms 13:6

Life has a way of pressing us into corners where the only words that seem to fit are questions: "How long, O Lord?" David knew this season well. In the opening verses of Psalm 13, the psalmist pours out raw honesty before God—feeling forgotten, hidden from, and overwhelmed by sorrow and enemies. Yet something powerful happens by the time we reach verse 6. David shifts from lament to praise. He declares with confidence, "I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me."

This is not denial of pain. It is faith that looks beyond present darkness to the character and promises of God. David remembered God's past faithfulness and chose to trust that the same bountiful hand would move again. Even when circumstances screamed defeat, David's spirit rose in anticipation of victory. He decided to sing—not because the battle was over, but because he knew the One who fights for him is faithful.

Beloved, you may be walking through a "how long" season right now. The waiting feels endless. The enemy seems to triumph. Discouragement whispers that God has forgotten. But Psalm 13 teaches us that honest prayer leads to renewed Trust in the One who has never disappointed His Own. When we bring our fears to the Lord, He lifts our eyes from the problem to His provision. Bountiful dealing is His nature—abundant grace, unexpected mercy, and timely deliverance.

Today, make the same declaration David made. Choose to sing. Lift your voice in worship even before the breakthrough arrives. Let faith fill your mouth with praise. The same God who walked with David is willing to walk with you, if you will just let Him. His indefatigable might is capable of turning your mourning into dancing. He deals bountifully with those who trust Him.

THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES Bible Reading: Isaiah 55:1-3 (KJV) Key Verse “Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” (Isaiah 55:2) The reality in our world today remains that some souls are bent on chasing fleecing pleasures and material possessions. It becomes appalling when souls that were created to praise and glorify the Almighty God chose pursuit of ephemeral treasure. In the heart of this, our text for consideration draws attention to a bread that can be bought without the price of modern day money. It goes a step further to state how unreasonable it is to spend one's lifetime value on intangible investment. Exposing the emptiness of worldly pursuits, our he...

A recognized face grants instant access; an unrecognized one is firmly denied. This modern reality mirrors a profound spiritual truth. Jesus Christ issues a sobering warning in Matthew 7:21 : “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Many will stand before Him on that day, citing impressive works of prophesy, the casting out demons, ...
