THE INCONSISTENCY OF TRANSGRESSORS WHO BUILD ON WORLDLY TRADITIONS AND THEIR LEGALITY

The world is full of traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. Some of these traditions are harmless, while others are harmful and go against the teachings of Christ revealed in the Holy Bible. Unfortunately, many people who claim to be followers of Christ have fallen into the trap of building on these worldly traditions, even while it is obvious that they contradict the Word of God.

The Holy Bible warns us about the dangers of following worldly traditions. In Colossians 2:8, we are told to beware lest any man spoil us through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. This warning must be taken to heart in order not to be deceived by the traditions of men, but rather to be true followers of Christ and practitioners of His teachings.

One of the most common worldly traditions that some Christians have fallen into in the past is the celebration of unholy festivities. Some have chosen to regularly celebrate Halloweens. Halloween is a holiday that has its roots in paganism and witchcraft. It is a day when people dress up in costumes and go from door-to-door asking for candy. Some even go about carving openings in melons only to reveal a dreary image. This tells of how dreadful the feast seem. Although Many Christians try to justify their participation in Halloween by saying that it is harmless fun, the truth remains that it does not in anyway remind us about Heaven, Jesus Christ or even God our creator. The Holy Bible tells us that we should not have any part in the works of darkness. In Ephesians 5:11, we are told to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

As Christians, we are to engage in the feast of the Lord's Supper. The feast commemorates what Christ deed for humanity, especially, bringing to mankind salvation from Sin and redemption which reconciles us back to God. As the word of God clearly reveals in the Holy Bible, we are to practice it often in remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not to commercialize it in any way like the Pharisees in Jesus's day did. In Romans 12:2, we are told not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

The inconsistency of transgressors who are building on the legality of worldly traditions clearly spells their doom. Just as they are inconsistent with the truth in God's word, so also will their eternal end be determined. It will be very far from the glories and merriments that will characterize God's kingdom. It is dangerous to follow this pernicious way of life because it leads people away from the truth of God which is well spelt in the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible tells us that we should not be conformed to the world, but rather we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We should not be deceived by the traditions of men, but rather we should follow Christ and His teachings.

In conclusion, Christians should be careful not to fall into the trap of building on worldly traditions. We should be discerning and test everything with the Word of God. We should not be deceived by the traditions of men, but rather we should follow Christ and His teachings. As Christians, we should strive to live a life that is pleasing to God and not to the world. We should be consistent in our beliefs and display actions that proves that we are of God's kingdom, and we should always seek to glorify God in everything that we do. As we do all this, may God Almighty make brighter the light of His word that shines on our path, in Jesus Name, Amen.

THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES Bible Reading: Isaiah 55:1-3 (KJV) Key Verse “Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” (Isaiah 55:2) The reality in our world today remains that some souls are bent on chasing fleecing pleasures and material possessions. It becomes appalling when souls that were created to praise and glorify the Almighty God chose pursuit of ephemeral treasure. In the heart of this, our text for consideration draws attention to a bread that can be bought without the price of modern day money. It goes a step further to state how unreasonable it is to spend one's lifetime value on intangible investment. Exposing the emptiness of worldly pursuits, our he...

RISKY BUSINESS

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION RISKY BUSINESS Bible Reading: Matthew 7:21 - 23 Memory Verse “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:23) In our tech-driven world, face detection apps guard smartphones, homes, and offices with remarkable precision. A recognized face grants instant access; an unrecognized one is firmly denied. This modern reality mirrors a profound spiritual truth. Just as security systems reject unknown faces, Heaven’s gates will not open to those unregistered through a genuine salvation experience. Jesus Christ issues a sobering warning in Matthew 7:21 : “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Many will stand before Him on that day, citing impressive works of prophesy, the casting out demons, ...

David knew this season well. In the opening verses of Psalm 13, the psalmist pours out raw honesty before God—feeling forgotten, hidden from, and overwhelmed by sorrow and enemies. Yet something powerful happens by the time we reach verse 6. David shifts from lament to praise. He declares with confidence, "I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me." ...
