BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 45:8-16

KEY VERSE

So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. (Genesis 45:8, KJV)

Joseph lived a remarkable life that stands as a testimony to God’s divine providence. When he became a prominent figure in Egypt, he revealed himself to his astonished brothers who had sold him into slavery years earlier. The bewilderment of his brother left them with the realisation of God's transformative ability. They soon understood that what they meant for evil, God used for the preservation of His people.

This story mirrors that of an abandoned child thrown into the garbage by a heartless mother, only to be rescued and raised by a wealthy, childless woman. The once-rejected child quickly received the best education and eventually rose to significance at the snap of God's fingers. Need I say, envy drove Joseph’s brothers to betray him. He endured slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment. Yet through unwavering faithfulness unto God, Joseph rose from the pit to the palace. God sovereignly positioned him to save his family and the surrounding nations from famine.

The narrative exceptionally illustrates that no human scheme, persecution, or adversity can thwart the destiny of someone committed to serving God wholeheartedly. Currently, many face crushing difficulties—betrayal, loss of loved ones through war or violence, economic hardship, or religious persecution. Like Joseph, these trials may feel like darkness beclouding a tunnel, but they often serve as moments that proves the viability of light which Jesus Christ emits.

The setbacks of today prepare God’s people for greater responsibilities tomorrow. When we maintain integrity and trust in God amid suffering, He transforms victims into Victors/Victorias. What man proposes, God ultimately disposes according to His perfect will.

Believers are therefore encouraged to hold fast to faith. The same God who elevated Joseph is still at work, orchestrating events for the good of those who love Him.

PRAYER

Lift me up and make me victorious, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Shalom! You Are Victorious!

THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES Bible Reading: Isaiah 55:1-3 (KJV) Key Verse “Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” (Isaiah 55:2) The reality in our world today remains that some souls are bent on chasing fleecing pleasures and material possessions. It becomes appalling when souls that were created to praise and glorify the Almighty God chose pursuit of ephemeral treasure. In the heart of this, our text for consideration draws attention to a bread that can be bought without the price of modern day money. It goes a step further to state how unreasonable it is to spend one's lifetime value on intangible investment. Exposing the emptiness of worldly pursuits, our he...

RISKY BUSINESS

WINNERS' INTEREST PUBLICATION RISKY BUSINESS Bible Reading: Matthew 7:21 - 23 Memory Verse “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:23) In our tech-driven world, face detection apps guard smartphones, homes, and offices with remarkable precision. A recognized face grants instant access; an unrecognized one is firmly denied. This modern reality mirrors a profound spiritual truth. Just as security systems reject unknown faces, Heaven’s gates will not open to those unregistered through a genuine salvation experience. Jesus Christ issues a sobering warning in Matthew 7:21 : “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Many will stand before Him on that day, citing impressive works of prophesy, the casting out demons, ...

David knew this season well. In the opening verses of Psalm 13, the psalmist pours out raw honesty before God—feeling forgotten, hidden from, and overwhelmed by sorrow and enemies. Yet something powerful happens by the time we reach verse 6. David shifts from lament to praise. He declares with confidence, "I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me." ...
