If God says it and you echo it, then it is confirmed.
The words we speak carry great significance. As believers, we must be careful with every confession that proceeds from our mouths because God honours words that agree with His divine will. Throughout Scripture, we see that God watches over His Word to perform it, and He expects His children to speak in harmony with His promises rather than with fear, doubt, or unbelief.
However, a godly confession is not merely positive speech; it flows from a heart that has been transformed by God. Sin clouds spiritual understanding and prevents people from fully embracing God's purpose for their lives. Therefore, before anyone can consistently declare God's will, there must first be victory over sin through faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9–10 reveals the simplicity and power of God's plan of salvation. Genuine faith begins in the heart by believing that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. That inward faith is then expressed outwardly through the confession of the lips, resulting in salvation.
This wonderful promise is available to everyone who comes to God sincerely. No matter how deep one's sins may be, the saving grace of Christ is sufficient to forgive, cleanse, and restore. When your heart believes and your mouth confesses Jesus as Lord, God grants you new life and makes you His child.
Today, do not delay. Turn away from sin and come to God in sincere repentance. Call upon the Lord Jesus in prayer, confess Him as your Saviour and Lord, and receive the gift of eternal life. God is faithful to save all who come to Him in faith.
A godly confession stems from knowing the Spirit of God experientially.
